Mediolanum's net profit in 2023 reached 821.9 million, up 62% compared to last year.
Thanks to the results, the board of directors will propose to the shareholders' meeting, which includes Berlusconi's Fininvest alongside the Doris family, a balance dividend of 0.42 euros per share, equal to approximately 311 million.
Considering the interim dividend of 0.28 distributed in November, the overall dividend proposed for the 2023 financial year amounts to 0.70 per share, for a total of approximately 519 million, 40% more than in 2022.
It was "a year that I define it as simply extraordinary, in particular for the record operating profit of 822 million euros", commented Massimo Doris, CEO of Banca Mediolanum.
"Like the entire banking sector, in 2023 we benefited from the sudden rise in rates and the consequent contribution deriving from the interest margin", he added.
In the month of January this year the net collection amounted to 645 million.
