We go up to the third floor.
Amid dark wood, there is a small spiral staircase that leads to more wood-paneled walls filled with books.
It was founded in 1843 and in 1906 moved into the two-story reading room in the New Town Hall on Marienplatz, which was magnificently designed by Georg von Hauberrisser.

When visiting the law library, pay close attention to the clock.
Once you have found your way to the third floor without much signage, a completely different world of books opens up behind a fairly simple door.

The reading room cannot be visited during regular opening hours.
This can be visited as part of a guided tour, the website says.
