Winner announcement on March 4th in Bari. New for 2024 is the 'Best Savory Colomba' category (ANSA)


"Divina Colomba" is back, a competition organized by Goloasi.it (portal for Italian pastry shops and ice cream shops) which in view of next Easter will reward the best artisanal colombe of the year.

The contest, now in its sixth edition, will award the Best Artisan Colomba in Italy in the categories "Best Traditional Colomba", "Best Chocolate Colomba" and "Best Savory Colomba".

For the 2024 edition, there are 214 artisans competing.

The final phase will be reached by 20 out of 178 doves registered in total in the "Best Traditional Colomba" category (with candied citrus fruits), 15 out of 96 registered in the "Best Chocolate Colomba" category (with dark dough), and 5 out of 34 registered in the category new this year: "Best Savory Colomba".

The total number of leavened products competing is over 300.

The final tasting with announcement of the winners will be held on Monday 4 March at the Hotel Parco dei Principi in Bari.

Certainly - states Massimiliano Dell'Aera, founder of Goloasi.it and creator of the competition - the most important innovation is the introduction of a third category, the one dedicated to the savory colomba, which joins that of the traditional and chocolate colomba with dough dark.

I am sure that the artisans will be able to positively surprise the jury in this new category too.

Another novelty, then, concerns the technical commission and the way in which the evaluation of leavened products will be managed, which this year will be unanimous.

In fact, only one evaluation sheet will be expressed following the discussion of the entire jury, no longer one sheet for each member, which will contribute more to fueling the values ​​that are closest to our hearts: the transparency of the competition and the protection of each individual participant".
