After more than six years at the head of the English edition of
Vogue
magazine , Edward Enninful is bowing out.
But before leaving his position as editor-in-chief to take on the role of global editorial consultant for the Condé Nast group, the latter decided to do things big.
He thus offers his latest cover to not one, but forty famous women.
Victoria Beckham, Serena Williams, Jane Fonda, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Miley Cyrus all share the glossy paper of this issue, scheduled on newsstands for February 13.

The keys to supporting women in their working lives
“When the subject of my last issue for British
Vogue
came up, I knew that the cover would be dedicated to women and I knew exactly who I wanted to call,” says the man who has long been Anna Wintour's right-hand man on Instagram.
He also specifies that many of them have already appeared on the cover of the fashion magazine since his arrival as editor-in-chief in 2017. If Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista or even Naomi Campbell pose on the cover, two women, who have previously collaborated with the magazine, however missing: Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.

It is legitimate to wonder why the Princess of Wales does not appear on this final project by Edward Enninful, photographed by Steven Meisel.
Indeed, the wife of Prince William was on the cover of the English fashion magazine for its June 2016 issue. A moment which marked the history of the British media, which at the same time celebrated its hundred years of existence, and offered for the Princess of Wales her first fashion shoot.
Same thing for Meghan Markle, another absentee.
Edward Enninful had nevertheless entrusted her with the keys to the editor-in-chief for its September 2019 issue. Called “Forces for Change”, Meghan Markle had decided to highlight a whole panel of women activists, artists and even politicians.
The cover caused a lot of discussion.
