Wizz Air announces that it will open a pilot training center in Rome in 2024.
The new structure, measuring over 2500 square metres, will be built a few steps from Terminal 1 of Rome Fiumicino airport and will host three complete flight simulators for the periodic training of over 4800 pilots per year.
The total investment will exceed 38 million euros.
This is the second training center for Wizz Air: the first was opened five years ago in Budapest.
"By investing in our greatest asset, our employees, - says Robert Carey, president of Wizz Air - we proudly announce the launch of our new training center in Rome. This certifies Wizz Air's commitment to guaranteeing safety standards at all times higher and constant training through the use of cutting-edge equipment. At the same time, thanks to this investment, we continue to provide job opportunities locally, expanding our current team of 1000 Wizz employees in Italy."
