SENIGALLIA - The 24th edition of the Summer Jamboree.
The "Hottest rockin' holiday on Earth", as the international festival of American music and culture of the 40s and 50s has been renamed, will take place in Senigallia (Ancona) from 27 July to 4 August 2024. Nine days of events and concerts between the key months of summer, in order to encourage tourism in a period that is usually less crowded.
The Summer Jamboree will take care of making the city of the velvet beach and the roundabout by the sea crowded, after a 2023 which saw a good influx of visitors from all the regions of Italy but above all a significant increase in foreign presences.
Switzerland, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Austria, Canada and Spain are the ten countries from which the most people came, a sign of a truly global appeal thanks to the swing and rock'n'roll sounds.
For the 2024 edition, the organizational machine is in motion, preparing nine days of live music, wild dancing until late at night, as well as unmissable shows.
The event, like every year, spreads to several places in Senigallia, from the Rocca Roveresca, Piazza del Duca, Piazza Simoncelli, the Foro annonario, Piazza Garibaldi but also, and which are decidedly more suggestive, the eastern and western seafronts dominated by the historic Rotonda a mare which this year was included in the poster accompanying the event, as a symbol of Senigallia and Marche tourism, of which the Summer Jamboree is one of the most important events.
For this reason, support for the Summer Jamboree company comes from the Municipality of Senigallia, which invests over 400 thousand euros per year, but also from the Marche Region and the Ancona Chamber of Commerce.
The economic issue was and still is at the center of negotiations between the organizers and the various partners, which is why the 2024 dates were communicated late compared to previous years.
In addition to the preparations for concerts and dances, we are trying to close another issue, that of the three-year agreement with the Municipality of Senigallia, to give continuity to the organizational work and promotion of the largest festival of the 40s and 50s in the world by number of appearances.
