    The death toll from the fire that broke out following a Russian attack launched during the night on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv has risen to at least seven dead and two injured.

The local authorities made this known, specifying that among the victims there were also three children.

Governor Oleh Syniehubov and Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that Kharkiv was hit by Russian Shaded drones launched from the Belgorod region, which hit a petrol station in the Nemyshlyansky district, causing a huge fire that engulfed 15 residential buildings.

The authorities of the eastern Ukrainian city specified on their Telegram channels that the children killed were seven years old, four years old and six months old.

An entire family wiped out

   "The Russians killed an entire family in Kharkiv: parents and three children. Our anger is absolute. These people will pay for everything," the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andry Yermak, wrote on Telegram after an attack during the night, Russia caused a large fire involving residential buildings in the city in eastern Ukraine.

   Previously the police announced that in one of the residential buildings an entire family burned alive due to the fire: "The father, the mother and their three children aged 7 and 4 and a seven-month-old baby. The body of the man was found in the corridor of the house, while the mother and children tried to take refuge in the bathroom".

In another apartment, a 66-year-old man and his 65-year-old wife died. 

   Subsequently, the police announced that following the enormous fire caused by the Russian bombing, it was not possible to recover the body of the newborn who died with his two little brothers and parents in the house fire: "The temperature in the apartment was so high that the The child's body was reduced to ashes, what the rescuers found was taken to the morgue for examination."

The head of the police department Sergy Bolvinov, quoted by UNIAN, said that "We assume that the mother held the children, hugging them and pressing them to her chest."

Kharkiv using “Shahed” drones. The parents and their three children were killed. Oleksiy , the eldest son, was seven years old; Mykhailo, the middle son, was six years old; and Pavlo, the youngest son, was only seven months old. These children had not yet seen life, but were killed due to the Russian madness" .

   Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on X, commenting on the attack in which seven people were killed in Kharkiv.

"Another family was killed: a man and his wife. My condolences to the loved ones of the victims", he added.

"Four people were rescued, including a child. Dozens of people were evacuated."

   “It is crucial to realize that this terrorism cannot go unpunished or go without a just response,” said Zelensky, who published photos of the fire caused by the raid and rescue operations.

"Terrorists must lose the war they started. Russia must be held accountable for every life it has damaged and ruined. This is the only way to make security a reality again."
