Is the window cleaning in your apartment due again?
Then you don't need many utensils.
Experts give tips.
When the days get milder again, it's time to clean your windows.
However, it is better not to wipe the window panes in direct sunlight - because then the water on the panes evaporates relatively quickly and can leave spots or streaks on the glass.
The Window + Facade Association (VFF) draws attention to this.
Luckily there are plenty of other days in spring.
Now you only need a few utensils and you're ready to go.

Three rules for a streak-free result and more clarity
The Bavarian Consumer Service explains on its website what you should pay attention to when cleaning windows:
Start with windows that are in the shade.
A warm and overcast day is best.
Less is more - be careful not to use too much detergent.
Change the cleaning water as soon as it becomes dirty.
According to home economics experts, you will need the following materials:
Soft hand broom for frames and windowsills
Clean bucket with lukewarm water, dish soap or all-purpose cleaner
soft sponge or microfiber cloth
Puller or chamois leather
Possibly step ladder and ceramic hob blade for stubborn dirt on the glass pane.
“As a cleaning agent, a few squirts of dishwashing liquid are enough to dissolve the grease,” advised Birgit Billy, home economics expert at Consumer Service Bavaria, in the message.
“A little citric acid or vinegar against limescale deposits or hard water is sufficient.”

If the big spring cleaning is coming up in a while, you should also think about the flower pollen - and it's better to wait until the time of the greatest pollen count is over (often until the end of April, depending on the region) before cleaning the windows.
If the temperatures are too low, you should also refrain from cleaning windows.
