While brigade members continue their work against the fire in Alerces (Chubut) and in Nahuel Huapi, a new forest fire broke out on Friday: the
Lanín National Park
is now affected .
This Saturday, a day later, there were five active outbreaks in difficult-to-access sectors.
Currently about 50 people work in the operation.
Regarding the fire sources, as could be established, they are located in the north of the area: Chufquen -Ñorquinco, Cochico-Rucachoroison, Malalco-Quillén, Hui Hui-Lago Hui Hui and Caballada, the authorities reported.
In the afternoon, they managed to control those of Cochico and Malalco.
In total, the fire covered at least 4,180 square meters.
These are
sectors that are very difficult to access
and the weather conditions complicated air assistance.
Low clouds also made airborne efforts difficult.
For this reason, first thing in the morning the staff moved on foot in a great operational effort.

In the afternoon, improved conditions made it possible to deploy an aircraft.
"We worked on highly complex terrain (abundant rolling stock of large trees) with hand tools and a tandem of motor pumps and with the collaboration of the aerial environment. The complementation of the tasks by the aircraft, together with a work executed by the brigade members according to what was planned by the crews on the ground, allowed us to meet the goals set for today," they reported late on Saturday.
The Park's incident command reported that the cause of the fires was
lightning strikes
, in the middle of a storm without precipitation.
For the next few hours, the National Meteorological Service anticipates hot days, high humidity and the possibility of storms with more electrical shocks.
In
Los Alerces, Chubut
, the work of more than 380 brigade members continues to control the flames.
18 people joined from other national parks.
The City of Buenos Aires also sent personnel: through the Ministry of Security, 40 troops and 13 vehicles traveled to Chubut.
They expected the possibility of precipitation this Saturday.
The objective was "sector 1 on the Park side, it is the one with the highest concentration of combatants to reach all the focuses with lines of hand tools and water, so the expectation is to try to start leaving at least stopped that sector and the perimeters with fire and water lines," explained Mario Cárdenas, head of Fire Communications and Emergencies (ICE).

As reported by the Unified Command, the fleet of drones and the observation plane are used to monitor the situation.
The air support established by the National Fire Management Service (SNMF), has the alternating operation of helicopters and hydrant planes, at the request of the Command, they explained.
The
Nahuel Huapi Park
is also going through difficult hours: there are already almost 600 hectares affected by the fire that started six days ago.
According to the latest official report, "work was carried out in highly complex terrain with abundant rolling stock of large trees falling. Work continued on strengthening the defense lines built in the previous days, achieving the goals set in a timely manner." .
The fire covers more than 500 hectares of native forest on the southern coast of the Brazo Tristeza of Lake Nahuel Huapi, on the northern slope of Cerro Capitan, they detailed early on Saturday.
