Michele Misseri left Lecce prison this morning after serving a sentence for the suppression of a corpse: the 69-year-old had been sentenced to eight years for throwing the body of his 15-year-old niece Sarah Scazzi, killed on 26 August 2010, into a well in Avetrana (Taranto).
According to a final ruling, Misseri's wife and daughter, Cosima Serrano and Sabrina, killed the girl in August 2010.
Misseri had been in prison since 2017 and was released about a year early, benefiting from the reduction of the sentence for good behavior and from the 'prison emptying' rule.
