This film almost never existed, Catherine Deneuve having suffered a stroke during filming, before a new interruption linked to confinement.
And, finally, a miracle of calm on a tragic subject.

“In his lifetime”, signed Emmanuelle Bercot, accompanies the unfinished last year of Benjamin (Benoît Magimel, exceptional in truth), suffering from incurable pancreatic cancer.
No happy ending.
But succeed in his exit, since Benjamin is convinced of having failed everything, he who answers “failed actor” to a question about his profession.
However, he proves to be a wonderful theater teacher.
He still has to tidy up "the office of his life", as the oncologist invites him to do, advocating music to soften morals, illnesses and death.
