"Please help!
“Unfortunately, I found these puppies after I saw a stray dog that I often fed lying dead on the side of the road,” it is written in the lines.
The man also reports that the puppies' mother had been hit by a car and that because he knew about her puppies, he was looking for them.
"I'm sorry for leaving her like that, but I'm homeless myself and can't afford to care for her."

The letter continues with touching words: “I just want them to have the chance that their mother, like me, never got.

The puppies are currently recovering in the animal shelter.
Her condition upon arrival was critical.
“It's like they realize they've been given a second chance and they're just soaking up all the love and joy,” Peery explains.
The little dogs now have names and have been featured on the animal shelter's
page.
While the dogs are no longer nameless, the rescuer remains unknown.
Peery hopes to thank him personally and offer support in return for his love of animals.
