Vincent van Peteghem, Belgian Economy Minister in the rotating presidency of the EU Economic Council, has invited former Prime Minister Mario Draghi to participate in the next informal meeting of the Ministers of Economic and Financial Affairs, which will be held in Ghent from 22 to 24 February.

From what we learn from sources familiar with the work, on the morning of Saturday 24 February Draghi will present the work in progress on the report on the future of European competitiveness.


    Informal discussions with the Ministers of Economy and Finance will revolve around the question of how to support investments for the dual transition, digital and green.

The Italian Prime Minister, still in the consultation and input gathering phase, will collect the opinions of ministers on what is necessary to mobilize public and private investments.
