Whether it's pet dander, hair or soap residue - hardly any place gets dirty as quickly as the bathroom.
The shower is no exception.
Limescale stains in particular can quickly make the shower cubicle appear unhygienic.
However, you don't necessarily have to use chemical bathroom cleaners to clean them.
Natural home remedies from the kitchen or bathroom help at least as well - and are also inexpensive.
Clean the shower cubicle: Vinegar dissolves limescale naturally
Vinegar works wonders on calcified shower cubicles.
But other home remedies also ensure cleanliness.

The best way to clean a glass or plastic shower screen is with vinegar.
The tried and tested home remedy removes even stubborn limescale deposits - completely naturally, without chemicals.
Simply mix vinegar essence with twice the amount of water and rub the shower wall with it.
Finally rinse with clean water – done.
The fittings can also be cleaned with the vinegar mixture.
Don't forget to descale the shower head every now and then - a dishwasher tablet can work wonders here.
Limescale often sticks particularly stubbornly to plastic shower cubicles.

Clean tiles with baking soda
After the shower walls, it's the turn of the tiles: tiles can be easily cleaned with baking soda, which you mix with water to form a paste.
Use a brush to spread the mixture over the tile surface and the joints, allow it to take effect for a while and then rinse thoroughly.

Klarspüler sorgt nicht nur für glasklare Gläser in der Spülmaschine, sondern hilft auch, neuen Wasserflecken in der Duschkabine vorzubeugen. Das Mittel verringert laut Schöner-wohnen.de die Oberflächenspannung des Wassers, sodass dieses abläuft, ohne Tropfen zu bilden. So setzen Sie den Klarspüler im Badezimmer ein:
- Reinigen Sie die Duschkabine und die Armaturen zunächst gründlich von Kalk und Schmutz.
- Danach füllen Sie einen kleinen Eimer mit Wasser. Geben Sie einige Spritzer Klarspüler hinein.
- Die Wasser-Klarspüler-Lösung einfach auf die Duschwände sowie Armaturen auftragen und anschließend abspülen.
Was hilft gegen Schimmel in der Duschkabine?
An den Silikonfugen und in den Ecken der Dusche bildet sich gerne Schimmel. Kein Wunder, schließlich trocknen Silikonfugen deutlich langsamer als etwa Fliesen und das feucht-warme Klima im Bad fördert die Entstehung von Schimmel. Um die unschönen und gesundheitsschädlichen schwarzen Flecken zu entfernen, empfehlen die Experten von Ökotest am besten 70-prozentigen Alkohol. „Benetzen Sie damit die schimmeligen Stellen und lassen Sie den Alkohol für 30 Minuten einwirken. Entfernen Sie die Schimmelspuren anschließend mit einem feuchten Lappen“, heißt es in einem Beitrag auf Oekotest.de. Gegen Schimmel helfe zwar auch das Hausmittel Essig, dieser ist jedoch laut Ökotest „für kalkhaltige Oberflächen wie Natursteinfliesen, Fliesenfugen oder Silikonfugen ungeeignet“.
Um Schimmel vorzubeugen, helfen ein paar einfache Maßnahmen: Trocknen Sie die Fliesen und Kabinenwände nach dem Duschen mit einem Handtuch oder Abzieher. Die Tür der Duschkabine lassen sie anschließend einfach geöffnet, so kann die restliche Feuchtigkeit entweichen.
