Luciano Darderi won the final of the ATP 250 tournament in Cordoba, Argentina.
The 21-year-old Italian of Argentine origins beat the Argentine Facundo Bagnis, n.207 in the world, in two sets 6-1-6-4.
Thanks to his first ATP title, the blue player gained 60 positions in the ATP rankings in one week, going from 136th to 76th place.
Darderi has also become the 48th Italian in the Top 100 since the computerized ranking was introduced.
