A Moscow court has issued an arrest order for Andy Stone, spokesperson for Meta (designated as an extremist organization in Russia), on charges of promoting terrorist activities and inciting terrorist and extremist activities.

Previously, the Russian Investigative Committee had opened an investigation into Stone and other employees of Meta, which controls, among other things, Facebook and Instagram, accusing them of being jointly responsible for inciting acts of violence against Russian citizens.

Stone, in particular, was accused, according to the Investigative Committee itself, for having "said on social networks that Meta had suspended the ban on calls for violence against Russian soldiers on its platforms as a form of political expression".
