A meeting that should have remained secret between
the leader of the CGIL Maurizio Landini
and
the president of the M5S Giuseppe Conte
at the latter's home yesterday at lunchtime.
This was revealed by the newspaper 'La Stampa' which opens on this news today.
According to the newspaper's reconstruction, at the center of the conversation, which lasted more than three hours, there was the 'Stellantis' issue and probably the project of an initiative "to involve the country" on the law for the minimum wage, already anticipated by Conte in a previous interview with the newspaper.
The M5S leader's staff confirms that yesterday's meeting with Landini took place and that it "actually lasted three hours".
However, they were tight-lipped about the topics addressed, thus suggesting that in fact they may have talked about Stellantis and the "great initiative to involve the country" on the minimum wage law, as 'La Stampa' reports.
An important conversation, as underlined between the lines of today's piece in the newspaper, also in view of electoral consultations that are decisive for the balance of the government and the opposition and in the absence of PD secretary Elly Schlein.
"At the moment we are not saying more - they explain - we will see whether to say something later. For now we are simply confirming the meeting"
Dem: 'No surprises'
No surprises in the Pd house for the meeting between Giuseppe Conte and Maurizio Landini.
This was underlined by Dem sources close to the secretary who were interviewed in this regard.
Landini - the same sources continue - often speaks with Elly Schlein on all issues, and it is normal that he also speaks with the M5s leader.
