The Loto ceiling: what is it, how much is it?
Organized every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, the FDJ Loto involves a variable jackpot, which changes from drawing to drawing.
Indeed, when it is not won, the latter increases by 1 million euros.
To set a limit to this growth, Française des Jeux decided to set up a Loto ceiling.
Unlike the EuroMillions ceiling which is expressed in euros, the Loto ceiling depends on the number of consecutive draws without a big winner.
Thus, if no player has claimed the jackpot after 34 draws, the amount to be won will be distributed to the rank 2 winners, who therefore have all the numbers except the Chance number.
In the absence of a participant in this rank, the jackpot will revert to the next rank.
If no winner appears in ranks 2 to 9, the jackpot amount will be returned to the Super Jackpot Fund.
