US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has been admitted to the intensive care unit to undergo treatment for a bladder problem, the Pentagon said Sunday evening, citing doctors who are treating him.
“This evening, after a series of tests and evaluations, the Secretary was admitted to the intensive care unit at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for supportive care and close monitoring,” the statement read.
Austin suffers from prostate cancer.
