Postpartum isn't easy, whether you're an international tennis star or not.
It's also not easy to experience this upheaval when your body is constantly subjected to criticism from the public.
But Serena Williams is once again very honest about her journey through this confusing time, both physically and mentally, and shares a photo of herself in a white bikini, holding her baby Adira, a few months old.
The champion regularly shares photos of her two daughters Adira, 6 months and Olympia, 6 years old, whom she had with her husband Alexis Ohaian.

“Loving yourself is essential”
Below the Instagram post, Serena Williams shares some mantras that she seems to repeat to herself to better accept her body and its changes.
“Loving yourself is essential.
I find that I must remember this self-love throughout all the stages of my life.
She adds: “It’s a change, but it’s a change that was worth it.
So start this week knowing that you are loved, and that starts with you.”
“Okay, now I’m off to the gym!”
Still in the caption of her Instagram post, the tennis champion puts the negative sides of her weight gain and her post-pregnancy body into perspective.
“Right now I love that my body isn't picture perfect I love that I smell like milk - this milk keeps @adiraohanian going I love getting to know a new version of my body.”
Before adding: “Ok, now I’m going to the gym!”
Once a sporty person, always a sporty one.
