First round of Indian workers in Israel/Ministry of Construction and Housing
First among tens of thousands: as part of the implementation of the government's decision to increase the number of foreign workers, 70 professional construction workers from India arrived today on the business route, who will immediately integrate into various construction projects throughout the country.
Senior representatives from the Ministry of Construction and Housing arrived at the airport to welcome them and accompany them through the process of absorption in Israel.
In the coming days, additional flights with hundreds of workers from India are expected, at the same time the contacts with other countries to recruit personnel for the construction industry continue.
The Ministry of Construction and Housing stated that accelerating the pace of construction and solving the housing crisis are key national goals, therefore it will continue to work tirelessly to implement solutions in the short and long term.
Eldad Nitzan, Chairman of Foreign Manpower Corporations for Construction: "The Indian workers landed today only about a month after the selections began in India.
This is a tremendous achievement for the corporations that continue to hire additional employees during the entire month of February 2024. Most of the selected employees should arrive by the end of February, and additional selections are expected to take place next month.
Bureaucratic lessons have been learned, and in the next process the absorption will be faster.
It should be remembered that this is the first time of receiving workers from India."
