Late yesterday evening, Defense Minister Guido Crosetto went to the emergency room of the San Carlo hospital in Nancy due to persistent chest pain.
The tests and monitoring to which he was immediately subjected at the hospital, the Defense informs, "showed mild pericarditis and the absence of cardiac damage. In the next few hours, Minister Crosetto, whose health conditions are good, will be subjected to further tests to ascertain the causes of the illness."
The minister thanks "for the numerous messages of closeness and friendship received from the institutional and political world, both majority and opposition, as well as for the affection witnessed by many ordinary citizens".

Following persistent pain since yesterday morning, the Defense says, Crosetto showed up (alone and on foot) at the emergency room of San Carlo di Nancy, with severe chest pain.
He was immediately monitored and then subjected to a coronary angiography.
There is no information on the causes but hospital sources say it could be pericarditis.
