"I have often won here and I hope to do well this time too, to complete a season that has given me a lot of satisfaction. Then only the finals are missing in Saalbach, where the world championships will be held in 2025. I'm starting to think about it but first, in the summer, the our new metal album".

Dominik Paris is already in the mood for competition in Kvitfjell, where a free climb and a Super-G await him on the Olympiabakken slope over the weekend, but in an interview ANSA is already looking ahead, also on the musical front, his other great passion.

"I left behind a dark season like last year, proving that I am competitive, even if I have to improve in Super-G", underlines the Italian downhill skier, emphatically recalling the victory in the Val Gardena freestyle, "I really wanted to and it's fantastic to have achieved it" and the two podiums always free on two legendary slopes such as Wengen and Kitzbuehel.

"This year, however, we have been affected by the many canceled races, the calendar was complicated and the climate doesn't help. Here in Norway at least there is winter - says Paris - and we hope that the conditions are the right ones. On a physical level we manage to keep training even with long gaps between one race and the next, it is more difficult to maintain concentration and if that is lacking there is a risk of mistakes, which cost dearly, as was seen in the serious accident in Kilde".

The last free ascent took place on January 20th in Kitzbuehel, given that the two in Chamonix at the beginning of February were skipped, but that third place on the Streif still gives fuel to Paris' desire, who at almost 35 years of age is multiplying his commitment and determination.

And he reveals some of his secrets in the documentary 'Metal on Streif', visible on Red Bull TV, also dedicated to the South Tyrolean's other great passion, music.

"It helps me a lot, it frees my mind, I couldn't do without it" confirms Paris, who is also working on a new album, the second with his band.

"We have to make the final recordings, it will be released in August".
