Gabriele Marchesi will not be handed over to Hungary at the moment and will remain under house arrest in Italy until at least May.
This was decided by the Milan Court of Appeal in the proceedings regarding the 23-year-old co-suspect of Ilaria Salis and also accused of attacking far-right militants in Budapest a year ago.
The Milanese Court decided to ask Hungary for further information on alternative precautionary measures and postponed the proceedings until May 18th.
The young man is under house arrest in Milan following a European arrest warrant for the events of February 2023.
