US Senate
approved $95 billion in funding for Ukraine
,
Israel
and
Taiwan
in
a bill sent to the
House
, which is controlled by
Republicans
.
Reuters reports it on its online site.
According to the package,
60 billion dollars would be allocated to
Kiev .
However, House Republicans, aligned with former president and 2024 primary challenger Donald Trump, have promised to reject the bill.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President
Voldymyr Zelensky
thanked the US Senate on X for the green light for the resource destined for Kiev.
"I am grateful to Chuck Schumer, Leader McConnell and all United States senators - writes the Ukrainian president - who supported the continuation of assistance to Ukraine, as we fight for freedom, democracy and the values we hold dear.
