The stock markets of the Old Continent widen their negative trend after the latest macroeconomic data from the United States and the start of Wall Street: the worst stock exchange is that of Amsterdam, which loses 1.6%, followed by the stock markets of Paris and Frankfurt in both fell by 1.1%.
Milan with the Ftse Mib index loses one percentage point, while London is down by 0.8% and Madrid by 0.6%.
The spread between 10-year BTPs and German Bunds remains stable between 154 and 155 basis points, with the yield on the Treasury product at 3.93%.
The euro moves weakly but still holds 1.07 against the dollar.
Market operators are disappointed above all by the slowdown in US inflation below expectations, which could slow down the Fed's rate reduction programme.
In this context, in Piazza Affari STM and Fineco lost more than 3%, with Banca Bpm, Banca Mediolanum and Banca Generali experiencing drops of more than two percentage points.
Tim is weak (-1.7%), while among the main stocks the best are Saipemed Hera, both up 1.2%.
