The global market for healthcare consultancy services is growing: according to the report drawn up by 'The Business Research Center' this year it will exceed 28 billion dollars in value, from 25 billion in 2023, to reach, by 2028, $50 billion with an aggregate annual growth rate of 13.9%.
North America is the leading area at a global level, while estimates see Asia-Pacific as the most promising region in terms of growth in the forecast period 2024-2033.
According to the report, the rapid integration of digitalisation in healthcare contributes to significantly boosting the growth of the healthcare consultancy services market.
The market for patient support programs (PSP) has also been growing in recent years and will exceed 64 billion dollars in value by 2031 (+16.6%), according to an analysis by InsightAce Analytic.
Pps - explains a note - are in great demand within the pharmaceutical industry as healthcare is increasingly focused on the patient who now no longer only wants drugs but also to receive information, support, resources and tools to be able to effectively manage health problems.
They are widely used tools in the treatment of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cancer and autoimmune disorders as they can improve patients' treatment adherence, overall health outcomes and healthcare experience, thus becoming an increasingly important part of modern healthcare.
"The centrality of the patient is one of the main objectives that our National Health Service should pursue because each subject has his own complexity and requires specific responses along the path of treatment and healthcare", explains Davide Lucano, CEO of Opt Spa (optsalute.it), a consultancy and training company that operates within the Italian healthcare system to promote the development of high added value projects.
