There are apparently problems with the display on some Apple Watch models.
They can even trigger unwanted calls from the watch.
Munich - Problems with the Apple Watch again: After the security professionals from Kaspersky recently discovered a hardware vulnerability in Apple products, there are now apparently difficulties with the display control on some of the smartwatch models.
As the insider portal
MacRumors.com
reported, Apple has sent messages internally and to its Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) addressing the possible technical difficulties.
Apple is therefore checking a few cases in which there were problems with the touchscreen of the smartwatch.
“Ghost Touch” on Apple Watch: Watch carries out actions that users do not want
These cases are so-called “ghost touches”.
The Apple Watch carries out actions even though the user has not given the command via the display - as if by magic.
This can manifest itself in the screen jumping back and forth erratically or doing other unexpected things.
Unwanted voice calls can also be triggered in this way.
Another possible problem, according to the report, is that the code entry is broken.

Problems with the Apple Watch: A software update should solve these soon
Both were only brought onto the market in September 2023.
Apple is working on a solution to the problem, which should be available with the next watchOS update.
It is still unclear when the update will be available.
Users should therefore make sure to always keep their Apple Watch software up to date.

According to the report, service providers should refrain from attempting repairs.
The only option is to reboot the watch.
To do this, the side button and the Digital Crown must be pressed simultaneously and for a few seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
