On the Porte-des-Lilas metro platform (Paris 20th century), three piercing gazes block out black and white posters bearing the logo “La Haine”.
These are not those of Vincent Cassel, Saïd Taghmaoui and Hubert Koundé, who played Vinz, Saïd and Hubert in Mathieu Kassovitz's film, but those of Alexander Ferrario, Samy Belkessa and Alivor, the three actors who will reprise their roles in “La Haine” live.
This musical show adapted from the feature film will take over the musical Seine (Boulogne-Billancourt) in October 2024 for fifteen dates, before going on tour in the first quarter of 2025.
This Monday, February 5, Alexander, Samy and Alivor, in leather jackets and dark jackets, are filming a promotional clip alongside their giant photos.
All three were chosen after a long casting process, during which the profiles of 3,000 candidates were studied.
“We were told in December that we were taken.
I was given an address and, when I arrived, it was at Mathieu Kassovitz’s…” says Alivor.
As he explained to us this fall, Kassovitz, who is directing “La Haine” with Serge Denoncourt, aims to make this show combining music, dance, cinema and theater “a classic for the next thirty years”.
