Sometimes messages of love reach you in unexpected places - for example where the origin of organic limes should actually be written.
Kiel - Notices and signs in supermarkets actually serve the purpose of pointing out something to customers or employees.
Hints can often cause amusement, as the example of an Edeka branch shows.
Sometimes signs in the supermarket can be amusing, but they can cause questioning looks from customers.
This also applies to the price tag of a Rewe supermarket, where intimate messages were obviously addressed to the entire customer base.
Private message on Rewe price tag for organic limes – “This is 100 percent real”
An image shared on the Internet platform Reddit shows a green sign with an organic label.
However, neither this nor the shown unit price of 59 cents for the limes below causes any irritation.
If you look closely, you'll notice that the sign contains a private message.
“Hey my sugar mouse.
I look forward to seeing you next time!!!
Your Maik.
Big smooch for you,” is printed where the origin information should actually be.
Skeptical users would of course doubt the authenticity of the price tag.
However, the user who uploaded the image to the platform confirmed the authenticity of the intimate message when asked.
He asserts that he made the discovery himself in a Rewe branch in Kiel: “It’s 100 percent real.
Happened in my local Rewe where I was shopping after work.
I saw the sign and thought there was something wrong.”
Mystery about the cause of an intimate message: Accidentally set via smartphone?
How can something like this happen, the attentive customer also thought.
“I don’t know any of the staff personally,” he explains, and says it could “just be that they made such a careless mistake.” People who diligently comment on the post are also looking for answers.
“My best guess would be that the parts are set via the smartphone and that it somehow ended up on the clipboard,” they say.
“The central software is filled via csv import or API.
The smartphone is only used to match the labels with the item number.
So this probably happened during item maintenance at headquarters.
I also know a way to change the field using a smartphone app.
“But that would have to be activated centrally,” was the reaction of a user who said he had “implemented the stuff with customers for two years.”

Other users on Reddit, however, are just making fun of the find.
“Mom, the lime is flirting with me,” writes one user.
Another person commented: “This just warms my heart.
It’s about time someone came up with something when we can no longer send Viva Plus short messages.”

This price tag in a Rewe supermarket raises questions.
A supposed insider, who says he works on site, finally seems to shed some light on the matter: “Many articles have pre-written texts in the mask that already come from the headquarters.
However, organic items must be maintained with additional information.
In addition, you can theoretically write any text you want into the mask on both the PC and the MDE/smartphone.
The headquarters doesn’t have to activate anything.”
However, some love messages in supermarkets are deliberately placed.
One particularly desperate notice was looking for a specific person after an encounter in the supermarket.
