Highlights: A study found: the truth about Bigfoot: "It's who we thought it was" - Voila! tourism. For decades, many believed that a large, hairy creature nicknamed Bigfoot (or Sasquatch) lived in, among other places, the forests of North America. Now a study verifies that those who claimed to have seen it, saw something completely different. The likely culprit is the black bear. These bears are similar in size to humans and have sometimes been observed behaving and moving in ways similar to us.

A study based on quite a few previous studies on the subject reached an unequivocal conclusion about the legendary creature Bigfoot, also called Sasquatch

Take a moment to digest this news.

Because we are still in the denial stage - Bigfoot does not exist!

The hairy creature that leaves huge footprints around the world never existed.

All the documentation, observations, researches and searches for him - everything was in vain.

Soon you will tell us that Santa does not exist and we will lose it anyway.

So yes, a new study based on quite a few previous studies on the subject found what we all already knew but it could (maybe) put an end to all the silly conspiracy theories on the subject.

For decades, many believed that a large, hairy creature nicknamed Bigfoot (or Sasquatch) lived in, among other places, the forests of North America - and now a study verifies that those who claimed to have seen it, saw something completely different.

Flo Foxon, a scientist and DNA analyst at Pinney Associates, came up with her own theory as to why the reported Bigfoot sightings over the years might be something else entirely.

After reviewing additional research and preliminary analysis, she believes that Bigfoot is none other than... a black bear.

Sorry, you don't exist./screenshot, instagram/cryptiduniversity

She based her research on previous research that compared bigfoot sightings with bear sightings in the Pacific Northwest, to include the entire continental US and Canada. Foxon believes there is a clear correlation between the number of bears and the number of reported bigfoots, with one bigfoot sighting for every 5,000 bears Blacks. In an article published on bioRxiv, she wrote that for every 1,000 bears seen, Bigfoot sightings increased by 4 percent. Foxon found far more Bigfoot sightings in clusters where bears were known to live, compared to places where there were few or no bears.

Many groups of scientists have previously conducted studies to find out if such creatures actually exist. So far, all such studies, which have included DNA analysis of fur and feces found in the desert, have failed to find evidence of the existence of these mythical creatures, but reports of sightings keep coming in.

The likely culprit is the black bear.

These bears are similar in size to humans and have sometimes been observed behaving and moving in ways similar to us - standing or walking on their hind legs, for example.

Scientists have previously noted the striking resemblance between the bigfoot and the black bear, with both having a brownish-black hue and a similar body structure.

Historically, the sightings tended to occur in wooded areas, where the sighting could almost always be attributed to a bear.

The evidence, however, strongly suggests that most - if not all - Bigfoot sightings are actually people catching a glimpse of a wild black bear in action.
