Mille e una Notte and Ben Ryé, the icon wines of the Donnafugata company led by the brothers Antonio and Josè Rallo, were included in the special and unprecedented "World's Best Sommelier Selection", demonstrating once again that they know how to conquer the most demanding palates and that they are ambassadors of Sicily of quality wine in the world.
The jury, made up of the top sommeliers of the "World's 50 BestRestaurant" has selected only 130 wines through an unprecedented journey to discover international wine excellence.
Thirty of the most renowned sommeliers in the world, coming from 4 continents and 16 different countries, gathered in London to taste a selection of excellent wines together.
The international tasting panel was led by Josep Roca, sommelier of the three Michelin star restaurant "ElCeller de Can Roca".
Each award-winning wine was described in depth and compellingly.
Mille e una Notte 2019 - Sicilia Doc - is an intense Nero d'Avola combined with the nuances of Petit Verdot and Syrah, produced from the best grapes of the vintage on the hills of Contessa Entellina (Palermo).
Ben Ryé 2013 is a Passito di Pantelleria Doc that has been awarded several times in the past.
