Following the noise caused by the revelation in Vala: the National Planning and Building Council announced today (Wed) that a special meeting will be held to discuss the huge plan to build a new residential neighborhood with thousands of apartments on orchards between Beit Eliezer and Hedera.
This, following the demand of the mayor of Hadera for a reconvening of the council and with the support of the members of the Hotmal plenum and the heads of the authorities: Jerusalem, Haifa, Tel Aviv, Deir al-Assad and Zemar.
We will recall that about two weeks ago it was first published in Walla Real Estate about the approval of the plan by the Land Authority Israel to build 7,850 apartments on an open area in eastern Hadera, contrary to the recommendation of the municipality, which tried to do everything in its power to postpone the important discussion for at least a month, after the local authority elections.
Later that day, it was revealed that the discussion was actually a setting for a decision that had already been determined in advance, when even before the committee's discussion of the huge plan that according to the municipality was to determine the fate of Hadera, its residents and the entire area - the Israel Lands Authority distributed a notice regarding the decision to approve the plan for deposit.
The announcement of the plan's approval when the discussion was in Ivo led to the explosion of the discussion for several hours after the acting mayor of Hadera, Nir Ben Haim, actually received the spoiler for the ending which, it turns out, was known in advance by Rami.
Now, as mentioned, the council will convene again. Attached to section 13a of the law are the requests of the members of the National Committee for the Planning and Construction of Preferred Complexes and/or the members of the National Council for Planning and Construction to hold a discussion in the National Council on the issue of TML 3002 in view of its deviation from the district outline plan," Nir Ben Haim wrote in the letter of demand for the council's meeting.

On the side of the aforementioned mayor are other mayors who support taking the feature off the table due to it being contrary to the character of Hadera and because it deviates from the district master plan.
The heads of the authorities also stated in their appeal that it was decided to add another 1,200 housing units that were not part of the original plan.
Senior officials in the Hadera municipality dealing with the issue point out that "the plan that the OTML is trying to promote is so illogical that the very fact that there are those who promote it raises question marks." In addition, the municipality attacks the committee's conduct: "The hasty meeting during a war, the lack of attention to data that were presented, distribution of news with a summary of the committee's decision even before it was finished and more.
This destructive plan was buried for years because that's where it belongs.
And now, all of a sudden, this is what is important for the Israel Defense Forces to do these days, instead of promoting plans for the reconstruction of Gaza?"
Nir Ben Haim, Mayor of Hadera: "The gloves have been removed and I intend to use all the means at my disposal to remove this destructive plan from the agenda. As the mayor of a city under whose responsibility more than a hundred thousand residents, I cannot accept a reality in which such a plan hovers over the city. Moreover , as someone who was exposed to the committee's conduct, I can no longer refer to it as a clean-handed entity. Its conduct is outrageous in so many ways and I will expose all of them," concludes Nir.
Now the Hadera municipality is waiting for the hearing date.
