They call themselves “incest survivors” because they all experienced rape and sexual abuse during their childhood or adolescence that marked them for life.
In a letter sent this Tuesday, February 13 to Emmanuel Macron, five former members of Civiise 1 (Independent Commission on Incest and Sexual Violence Against Children), who resigned in December 2023 after the departure of judge Édouard Durand, “ share their dismay over what has become of this commission,” they write.
