On the day of love, do you want to show animals how important they are to you?
It's not just the pet that enjoys attention in the form of treats or cuddles.
On Valentine's Day you show your love to your partner.
But family members or close friends are also happy when you show them how important they are to you with a small gift.
For many people, dogs or cats are part of their inner circle - and are also given gifts accordingly.
But which gifts are our four-legged friends really happy about?
From treats to cuddly baskets to interactive toys: there are a variety of gift ideas that can make your pet's heart beat faster.
When choosing the right gift, you should focus on the needs and interests of your pet.
Does your cat like to play?
Then a new toy is the right thing.
On the other hand, a lazy cat would be of little interest in this present.
It is also important that the gifts are safe and suitable for animals.

Give away animal sponsorship and do something good for people and animals
Is your pet fully provided with toys, cuddly blankets and cuddles?
Then sponsoring an animal or donating to the nearest animal shelter could be a way to express your love for animals on Valentine's Day.
These could also serve as a Valentine's Day gift for your partner.
Pets may not understand the meaning of Valentine's Day - but they are always happy to receive small gifts.

However, you should definitely avoid getting a puppy or a small cat as a Valentine's Day gift unless it is planned for a long time.
“Anyone who wants to take responsibility for a living creature should never do so on impulse,” Karina Omelyanovskaya, campaign manager for pets at the animal protection organization
FOUR PAWS,
is quoted
as saying by the portal
wmn.de.
She advises: “You can also help an animal without adopting it: with donations in the form of food, toys or even financial help, you can support animal shelters and make everyone who has a heart for animals happy.”

Valentine's Day tip
Why bake something not only for your partner but also for your dog?
You can easily make treats yourself.
For carrot and cheese treats you only need 200 grams of grated cheese, 100 grams of oat flakes, 100 grams of whole wheat flour, 50 grams of carrots and two eggs.
The finely grated carrots are mixed with the rest.
A dough is created from which small balls are formed.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for around 20 minutes and your homemade Valentine's Day gift for your dog is ready.
