The Stuttgart car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has started a recall for some models.

Stuttgart – Mercedes-Benz has to launch a large-scale recall again.
After the automobile manufacturer had to recall over 100,000 vehicles at the end of last year due to the emissions scandal, several thousand of the brand's cars are now again affected by inspections and, if necessary, repairs.

According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) database, 75,159 vehicles worldwide are affected by the recall.
This includes a total of 14,080 vehicles from the Stuttgart-based automobile giant in Germany.
In the summer of 2023, Mercedes-Benz was also forced to recall several hundred thousand vehicles.

The reason for the recall, according to the KBA, is an improperly screwed component in the engine compartment that could come loose and, in the worst case, start a fire.

Affected vehicle owners should contact their authorized workshop immediately.
According to KBA, the component in question will be checked there and repaired if necessary.
The reference number for the recall is 013578.
Mercedes owners can check for themselves whether the car is being recalled
According to the manufacturer, to determine whether your vehicle is also affected, you can find out by entering the 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN) on the Mercedes-Benz website.
According to the manufacturer, this is located in field E of the first part of the registration certificate, at the bottom of the windshield or in the vehicle registration document.
