“Scandal”, “provocation”, “a joke”… Doctors and physiotherapists reacted strongly when they discovered, via a LinkedIn post from the Primary Health Insurance Fund (CPAM) of Seine-et-Marne this Tuesday, that she was taking in charge of osteopathy, chiropractic, occupational therapy, hypnotherapy, acupuncture, sophrology and etiopathy sessions, within the limit of four sessions per year and 50 euros each.
“Beyond the financing with public money of practices which have not scientifically demonstrated their effectiveness, the message sent to liberal health professionals is disastrous,” thundered the Alizé physiotherapist union this Wednesday.
These so-called “unconventional” or “alternative” medicines or practices, which are booming, are not reimbursed by the “classic” Health Insurance system.
They can even lead to a risk of sectarian excesses, the subject of a bill currently being debated in the National Assembly.
How can we explain then that they find themselves partially reimbursed in Seine-et-Marne?
