Russia remains concerned about the prospect of NATO expansion, including to Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in an interview reported by Tass.
"Of course, we were worried and still are about the possibility of Ukraine being involved in NATO, because it would be a threat to our security," he told journalist Pavel Zarubin, adding that "we have been constantly deceived about the lack of expansion of NATO to the east" and instead there are state "five expansions, a total deception".
The video of the interview was published on the Kremlin's official channel.
