Thousands of fans wearing the team's red t-shirts celebrated the team, amidst music, drums and confetti.
A few minutes after the parade ended, several shots were heard, causing panic among the crowd.
A general stampede began, hindered by the metal barriers installed to protect the procession.
People ran away screaming and seeking shelter in side streets or throwing themselves to the ground.
The police immediately raised the alarm via X, inviting people to move away from the epicenter of the shooting, Union Station.
He then deployed reinforcements until the two alleged perpetrators of the attack were captured, with the weapons still in their possession.
All the stars of the team were at the parade, including Travis Kelce. His Taylor, however, was absent:
the fans were hoping for a surprise appearance at the last moment, like at the Super Bowl.
But the iconic singer, fresh from some concerts in Japan, is already leaving for Melbourne, Australia, for three more stops on her Eras Tour.
