A baby donkey is born prematurely and is rejected by its mother.
The farm owner instinctively saves his life.
A heartbreaking story begins.
In early February, a donkey at Our Simple Homestead Farm in Florida had her baby much earlier than expected.
But instead of accepting it and caring for it lovingly, the mother kicked it and tried to kill her newly born offspring.
The owners of the farm, where other animals such as cows, goats, chickens and ducks also live, report this on their
TikTok
channel @oursimplehomestead.
Another donkey, however, shows his unbridled love.

Emotional rescue of the baby donkey was a happy accident
The owner of the farm only heard about the dramatic birth by chance while she was out on the property.
She instinctively threw herself over the baby donkey to save its life.
"I have a lot of bumps and bruises, but I don't care, I got this little guy to safety," the owner of six donkeys said in another
TikTok
video.
We also got some young donkey girls the week before, so he now has a couple of sisters to grow up with - and that's how everything turned out in such a miraculous way.
And now we have this little bundle of joy living in our house, and even though we're exhausted, we wouldn't have it any other way.

Baby donkey becomes a house donkey and loves his family
After a visit to the vet and several attempts to get the donkey to accept her offspring, the couple decided to take in the little donkey and raise him in the house.
There he is now regularly bottle-fed, lovingly cared for and taken out into the fresh air to get used to nature.
At the same time, he gets to know his siblings and discovers his joy in donkey things like running around and romping around - and also learns to kick.
Another donkey, who stumbles because of his high spirits, is joined by his donkey friend.
Around 1.2 million TikTok users have already watched the clip and given it more than 100,000 hearts.

Baby donkey Cash is recovering splendidly
Just a few days after his birth, the tiny baby, who now goes by the name Cash, is already making his first progress.
In a video, the two farm owners document his first sugary Eeyore - and in doing so touch the hearts of their community.
Our little miracle was so unexpected.
Even though he's only been with us for a few days, we can't imagine life without him.
We would always want our babies to be raised by their mother, but sometimes the sad reality is that they reject her.

Now the little donkey supports his rescuer in the home office and watches over her while she does her work.
In contrast to his human mother, who types diligently, the fluffy co-worker occasionally has difficulty keeping his eyes open.
The little ball of fur also helps his daddy on two legs with his work: in the kitchen, when dinner is being cooked, he follows the owner of the farm every step of the way and makes sure that everything is done correctly.
A little cuddle here, a cute kiss on the forehead - there has to be so much in it, thinks the baby donkey and even demands these signs of affection in the bathroom, where he regularly follows his parents.

“Even though he's only six days old, I can't imagine life without this little guy.
The way he follows us everywhere and reminds us that he is there is priceless,” writes @oursimplehomestead gratefully.
The farm owners are also confident about his relationship with his donkey mom Emma: “So many of you have asked if he will see them again... yes, we will let them interact with him.
But as hard as it is, we can't leave him with her, we would have to watch her 24/7.
Once he grows up, he can definitely be with her without fences.”
