'Makari' returns, the beautiful Sicily between detective stories and comedy From Savatteri's novels on Rai1 from 18 February the 3rd season ROME (by Nicoletta Tamberlich) There will be four much livelier episodes, but lightness and irony will remain the point of strength of the series despite the murders to solve.

"Four new cases on which Lamanna, our cop despite his pen, and his adventure companion, who has made his look his flag of freedom (coloured t-shirts, flip flops and shorts), Piccionello, are called to investigate. Not to mention the sentimental upheavals that will animate the stories but not only."

Word of Claudio Gioè who will also be dealing with some 'unforeseen events' in this series.

He returns to "Màkari" (fraction of San Vito Lo Capo, Trapani).

The appointment is on Rai1 from 18 February in prime time with the third season of the series.

Taken from the literary works of Gaetano Savatteri (Sellerio) on the investigations of Saverio Lamanna, played by Claudio Gioè, and his faithful friend Peppe Piccionello, Domenico Centamore.

A Palomar production in collaboration with Rai Fiction, presented at the Rai headquarters in Viale Mazzini in the presence of Maria Pia Ammirati, director of Rai Fiction, the producer Carlo Degli Esposti (Palomar), the directors Monica Vullo and Riccardo Mosca, Savatteri and the cast : in addition to Gioè and Centamore also Ester Pantano (Suleima) and the two new entries Eugenio Franceschini and Serena Iansiti, who play the two exes of Saverio and Suleima.

In short, in "Màkari" comedy goes hand in hand with detective stories, Saverio's disenchantment with Piccionello's popular wisdom.

Gioè underlines: "Saverio will have to work hard to keep Suleima in his sentimental camp. However, let's not confuse lightness with simplicity, we have to work to get there. Making people cry is easier than making people laugh".

Centamore adds: "Claudio and I are now a couple, we are not getting married so as not to do an injustice to my wife! This year you will see a Piccionello in love, but he also has a problem with Saverio and Suleima".

"Lamanna has numerous points in common. He has rediscovered the bond with his Sicily. He is a character I love", observes Gioè but above all the Sicily that we tell, thanks to Gaetano Savatteri, is contemporary and far from certain stereotypes". In the new season, alongside the investigations and the beauty of the landscapes, jealousy also enters: "Saverio is older, has more experience but also many exes, some of whom arrive suddenly" anticipates Ester Pantano for whom "whoever watches this series can pleasantly getting lost in a place, Màkari, which exists". Furthermore, "we talk about Sicily as a way of being Italian which has its own peculiarity like in all the other regions". "Many places - adds Gioè - in which we filmed there I saw it for the first time,

but in the 1980s Sicilians toured their region a lot.

While wandering around we met many people who from Bologna, Milan, Brescia and Bergamo went to Màkari". On the choice to limit the use of dialect compared to Montalbano (the producer is the same), Savatteri replies: "I am from a generation that grew up with Italian.

The characters have a language very similar to the one used.

Camilleri's dialect is unsurpassed, it is his sublime writing that no one can think of reproducing." Max Gusberti, producer together with Degli Esposti: "There is a small story by Camilleri, 'The Befana's Stocking' in which Montalbano is abandoned by all his women take a moment to relax and take a trip to Marilù's restaurant.

Here he is served with spaghetti with sea urchins by a beautiful girl, Suleima.

He himself notices her, but discovers that in her eyes shines a light that lives only for Lamanna.

Montalbano returns home and is left with Fazio as consolation". Savatteri again points out: "For a long time there was a prejudice about crime fiction, to get 'The Day of the Owl' accepted we had to say that it wasn't a detective story.

Mystery is today's social novel: one day we will have to read you a current mystery to understand our times". For four Sundays on Rai Uno and Rai Play with the episodes "The fact comes after", "The perfect city", "Tutti the books of the world" and "The secret alchemy".
