"Israel's recent announcement to 'officially ban' my entry is symbolic and misleading and must not serve as a diversion from the situation in Gaza": this is how the UN special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories Francesca Albanese comments on the ban against her by Israel.
In a statement released in Geneva, Albanese reiterates that for 7 October "even if anti-Semitism may have played a role in the attacks on an individual level for some, its main determinants must be found elsewhere".
