The European Commission has given the green light to state aid totaling 6.9 billion euros from seven member states, including Italy, for the third major project of common European interest in the hydrogen value chain called Ipcei Hy2Infra.
The initiative, we read in an EU note, is aimed at increasing, through the necessary infrastructures, the availability of renewable hydrogen, thus reducing dependence on natural gas and contributing to achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal.
