"It's really lovely to be stuck for two hours in an eight-hour flight on the way to Amsterdam, and find out that there are rotten fish and maggots flying with us," tweeted a passenger named Kelce on the X network, in a since-deleted post about the flight from hell, which was diverted back to Europe.

The surfer told the Daily Mail that the passenger whose suitcase was responsible for the disgusting failure - was delayed upon landing and added that the suitcase was destined to be burned.

The family of the surfer who uploaded the post was moved more towards the front of the plane, while the wormy fish were wrapped in newspaper and evacuated from the cabin.

"Just disgusting" they added.

"This passenger just ruined the flight for hundreds of people."

Another surfer wrote that he had to wait another day for a new connecting flight on another airline.
