Last year Kentucky Fried Chicken in Italy recorded a turnover growth of 25% compared to that of 2022 to over 140 million, supported both by growth in sales on a like-for-like basis and by the opening of 14 new restaurants.
This was announced in a press release from the brand, which specifies that during this year KFC aims to inaugurate 28 new restaurants, double those opened in 2023.
The objective is to exceed 100 restaurants already in the next few months, following the pace that has already seen two new openings in January.
There will be 600 new jobs created thanks to the new restaurants opening in 2024: new positions that will be added to the over 1700 professional figures already included in the group with mainly permanent contracts, both part time and full time.
The innovations for this year also concern the overall KFC system in Italy, which today is based on the synergy between 16 franchisees.
In 2023, 90% of new openings were created by franchisees and 4 of them doubled the number of restaurants managed.
In 2024 the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchising system will be strengthened with the entry of 8 new entrepreneurs, which will therefore be 24 in total by the end of the year.
