Preparation of the lava cake
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees top/bottom heat.
Melt the chocolate and butter together in a water bath - ideally while stirring constantly.
Tip: Alternatively, you can also melt the mixture in the microwave if you use a suitable bowl.
Microwave at medium temperature for 20 seconds and stir regularly.
Repeat this process if necessary until a liquid mass is created.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, powdered sugar and salt.
Then whisk the eggs and fold in the flour mixture.
It is important that you add a little mass at a time and always stir well.
Add the chocolate to the dough using a spatula.
Grease the muffin tin.
Then put the dough in the mold and place it in the well-preheated oven.
To ensure that the core remains liquid, it is important that the muffins only bake until the outside is firm.
The center should be soft.
It's best to check everything after eight to ten minutes.
Let the lava cakes cool for two minutes and then turn them out onto a plate.
Serve the cakes while the inside is still warm.
Bon appetit!
