"In these hours, three sub-commissioners will be appointed, in addition to the national commissioner. One of these, who comes from Defence, will organize the first soldiers already made available to support and actively help in the fight against swine fever".
This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry Francesco Lollobrigida this morning at Piacenza Expo for the inauguration of Tomato World.
"We asked to treat the issue as a pandemic because outbreaks of this type could affect Italy today and other nations tomorrow - added Lollobrigida - we therefore need work done in synergy with an investment from the European Union".
