Mourning in the world of luxury: Marina Bulgari, daughter of Costantino Bulgari, first son of Sotirios (the other was Giorgio), the Greek silversmith and founder of the famous maison in via Condotti in Rome, has died in Rome at the age of 93. Rome.
Born in Rome in 1930, like her father and her entire iconic family, Marina Bulgari was a passionate jewelery creator.
She had a very determined character and wanted to stand out.

She has just gotten off the train at Termini station in Rome, to come and attend her aunt's funeral which is being celebrated in the church of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme.
Marina Bulgari's recognizable style made her famous throughout the world.
Her jewels were appreciated by divas such as Sophia Loren and celebrities such as Ivana Trump.
She opened her first showroom in Geneva in 1978 and subsequently inaugurated a series of boutiques in the most prestigious capitals, in Milan, Rome and Paris.
As a designer, in addition to the unique, purely geometric style of her jewels, Marina B has introduced innovative techniques, such as the "universal joint", to bind precious stones together.
In 1980 she developed a new cut of stones, which has become iconic, The Chestnut, a sort of beveled triangle.

She invented the spring setting and a new reinterpretation of pavé diamonds.
In 1986 you opened a boutique on Madison Avenue, New York.
Then in 1993 she moved to Monaco, where she continued to design jewelry.
In 2017 Guy Bedarida acquired a majority stake in her company, but she stayed on as creative director.
After the death of her husband, a neurosurgeon who died in a car accident, Marina Bulgari had closed her private life.
