The redundancy fund for La Perla's female workers is closer.
This morning at Mimit, the meeting on the historic Bolognese lingerie brand, which had been requested by the unions at the end of November, was held via video conference.
Undersecretary Fausta Bergamotto participated for the ministry, for the local institutions the regional councilor Vincenzo Colla and the head of the metropolitan cabinet Sergio Lo Giudice.
Also connected were the representatives of Filctem Cgil and Uiltec Uil, the curators of LaPerla Global Management UK and the extraordinary commissioners of LaPerla Manufacturing.
The trustees of La Perla UK, a British company in judicial liquidation in Italy and in liquidation in London, will present to the judge in these hours the request for authorization to open the fund: the shock absorber identified is the fund for cessation of activity (the one foreseen for the Genoa decree).
It is more complex to identify the instrument for La Perla Manufacturing, for which the observation period was opened two weeks ago, but the issuing of a decree to guarantee the shock absorber cannot be ruled out.
Here too, the commissioners have already sent the request.
After the Court's authorization to release the social safety net, a joint examination with the unions will have to be held for each of the two companies.
Then the ball will pass to Mimit.
And the unions hope that in March the workers, without pay since October, will be able to breathe.
