Shakira (Barranquilla, Colombia, 47 years old) has just announced the release date of her new album, as well as the cover and title.
It will be on March 22 and will be titled
Women No Longer Cry,
a phrase taken from her famous song against her ex-partner, ex-footballer Gerard Piqué, which she published with Bizarrap,
Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53
.
Specifically, the lyrics said: “You left my mother-in-law as a neighbor, with the press at the door and the debt in the Treasury.
/ You thought you hurt me and made me harder.
/ Women no longer cry, women make bills.”
The Colombian has shared this message on her social networks:
“Women no
longer cry.”
My new album, which arrives this March 22, I have not created alone, but with all of you, and with my pack of wolves who have been there accompanying me every step.
The production of this work has been an alchemical process.
As I wrote each song, I rebuilt myself.
When I sang them, my tears transformed into diamonds and my vulnerability into resilience.”

Shakira had not released an album for seven years, since
El Dorado,
in 2017. She has released simple songs these years, with special intensity since her breakup with the former Barcelona player, in 2022. Since then, all the songs she has published They deal with some circumstance of his coexistence as a couple and separation, and he has always performed them in company:
I congratulate you
(with Rauw Alejandro),
Monotonía
(with Ozuna),
TQR
(with Karol G.),
Acróstico
(with his children),
Empty Cup
(with Manuel Turizo),
El Jefe
(with Fuerza Regida) and the one he shares with Bizarrap.
If she included them all on her new album, she would already have half the album made of her.
After the release of the album, the singer will have material to start a world tour, as she has already stated in an interview.
